On some Urlaubs-Express trains it is currently no longer possible to accept vehicle bookings for the summer of 2018. Compared to the previous year, we are pleased to report a significant increase in bookings. Especially for the trips from Hamburg to Verona on on May 18th, May 25th, July 13th and July 20th 2018, all vehicle spaces are fully booked. But cheap tickets are still available on many other routes.
The UEX will continue to expand its activities at Düsseldorf in the summer of 2019. After the start with Düsseldorf-Verona in 2018, motorail trains from the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia to Villach will also be offered next summer.
With the punctual arrival of the UEX 1857 in Hamburg-Altona on 14.10.2018, the Urlaubs-Express successfully completed its second season. In total, the UEX carried more than 22,000 guests and more than 7,000 vehicles in the summer. A total of more than 260,000 railway kilometres were covered.
Our UEX motorail trains consist of couchettes, sleeping cars, the motorail wagons of course and - on our international relations - an on-board dining car. Here you can find detailed information on the different types of wagons.
