In response to frequent demand, the Urlaubs-Express is launching a Düsseldorf-Villach-Düsseldorf car train in the summer of 2019. Trains depart from the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia on Sundays from 30 June to 9 September next year. The return journeys start on Monday evening. The UEX thus connects western Germany, the Benelux countries and Great Britain with Carinthia’s transport hub, which is often used for onward journeys to Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary or Italy.
Of course Villach and its surroundings with the Wörthersee are also popular destinations. The famous European Bike Week with the largest Harley-Davidson meeting in Europe takes place every year at Lake Faaker near Villach. The new route also provides customers with new, attractive combination options for round trips. Like all trains in the summer program, Düsseldorf-Villach can now be booked, and as always with the UEX: early bookers are rewarded with top prizes.
