The relaxed way to the Alps: The UEX winter trains

You are just about to plan your winter holiday? Why not take the UEX and avoid icy roads, traffic jams and a boring drive? In 2018/19 the successful UEX-connection from Hamburg to Landeck-Zams will be extended to St. Anton. Train4you is also launching a second UEX ski train from North Rhine-Westphalia. It starts in Münster, has stops in Dortmund, Essen and Cologne, among others, and is shared in Wörgl, Austria. One part of the train runs via Innsbruck and Ötztal to St. Anton, the other over popular ski resorts such as Kirchberg or St. Johann i. Tirol in the Salzburger Land to Zell am See. Car transport to Munich and back is possible on all UEX winter trains. The vehicles are loaded in Hamburg or Düsseldorf.

All UEX trains run overnight and offer interesting direct night train connections for skiers without a vehicle, such as Cologne – Kitzbühel or Hanover – Ötztal. Transfers from the stations in the winter sports areas to the hotel can be booked when buying tickets for the UEX.

The holiday express winter trains always start on Fridays in a north-south direction. The return journeys start on Saturday.  The trains each carry one of the popular UEX club cars. Breakfast is available as an option. Check our winter trains here
