Train4you is pleased to welcome a new member to the partner program of the Urlaubs-Express: The West German Ski Association (WSV) is now present on the UEX website and will include the Urlaubs-Express in its partner program. “The WSV with its many thousand members in NRW is almost a logical partner for our Urlaubs-Express with the winter trains into many fantastic skiing areas in Bavaria and Austria , said Train4you managing director Niko Maedge. “The arrival and departure with the night train can be an interesting alternative to self-drive for many of our members and customers”, says WSV President Matthias Birkenholz.Organised skiing has a long tradition in NRW. Long before the Alpine region became a tourist destination for ski lovers, skiing developed in the low mountain ranges, as well as in the Bergisches Land, the Eifel and the Sauerland. The first club in NRW, the Ski-Klub Sauerland, was founded as early as 1907. Today the WSV is the umbrella organisation for skiers and snowboarders and represents around 54,000 winter sports fans in 350 clubs. In addition to the alpine area, the WSV is also active in competitive sports, for example biathlon, Nordic skiing, roll skiing and grass skiing.
Every year the WSV offers its members, but also all other ski enthusiasts, numerous attractive trips to the winter sports regions. The UEX winter trains offer holidaymakers a relaxed journey without snow, ice or traffic jams on the motorway. The UEX trains travel overnight and of course directly to the ski area without changing trains. At many exit stations the transfer to the hotel can be booked as well. Get on the train in the evening and arrive rested on the slope the next morning – that is the motto of the Urlaubs-Express winter trains. In addition to the many boarding and exit stops, car loading is also possible between Düsseldorf and Munich.
